British Academy of Film and Television Arts විසින් වාර්ෂිකව සංවිධානය කෙරෙන BAFTA සම්මාන උළෙල සිනමාව වෙනුවෙන් වෙන් වුණු, ලෝකයේ ප්‍රමුඛතම සම්මාන උළෙලක්. වසරේ හොඳම බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය චිත්‍රපටවලටත්, ගෝලීයව නිකුත් වූ විශිෂ්ට අන්දමේ සිනමාපටවලටත් සම්මාන ලබා දෙමින් පවත්වනු ලබන මෙහි මූලාරම්භය සිදු වුණේ මීට වසර 72කට පෙර 1949 වර්ෂයේදී යි. එතැන් පටන් වාර්ෂිකව සෑම අවුරුද්දකම EE British Academy Film Awards හෙවත් මෙම BAFTA Awards හි සංවිධානය කටයුතු කරනු ලැබුවා.
පසුගිය මාර්තු 13වනදා ලන්ඩනයේ Royal Albert ශාලාවේදී පැවැත්වුනේ මෙහි 75වන දිගහැරුමයි. ප්‍රසිද්ධ රංගන ශිල්පිනියක සහ ගායිකාවක වන Rebel Wilson විසින් මෙවර උත්සව රාත්‍රිය මෙහෙයවූ අතර නාලිකාව හරහා ලෝ පුරා රසිකයින්ට මෙහි සජීවි විකාශය නැරඹීමටත් අවස්ථාව ලැබුනා.

කෙසේ නමුත් අවසානයේදී, මෙවර BAFTA උළෙලින් හොඳම නළුවාට හිමි සම්මානය ජයග්‍රහණය කිරීමට හැකි වුණේ King Richard චිත්‍රපටයේ ප්‍රධාන චරිතය රඟපෑ Will Smithටයි. හොඳම චිත්‍රපටය වශයෙන් තේරී පත් වුනේ The Power of the Dog චිත්‍රපටයයි. හොඳම නිළියට හිමි සම්මානය JoannaScanlan දිනා ගනිද්දි, විශිෂ්ටතම අධ්‍යක්ෂකවරයා ලෙසින් සම්මානයට පාත්‍ර වීමටත් The Power of the Dog අධ්‍යක්ෂණය කළ Jane Campion සමත් වුනා.
